Isla Mujeres Quintana Roo







In the Caribbean Sea



Isla Mujeres is located in the Caribbean Sea near the Yucatan Peninsula to thirteen kilometers from the city of Cancun, southeastern Mexico. The island is part of one of the eight municipalities of Quintana Roo state and includes part of the mainland.



It is a lovely and beautiful island , its warm and clear waters are the perfect home for dolphins and turtles and swim with them is one of the most engaging activities that can be done here.



To reach the island, take a ferry from Puerto Juarez or a ferry from Punta Sam (for cars) and enjoy the incredible scenery during the 15 minutes that the voyage lasts or the 45 minutes from Punta Sam



Some of the most important attractions of the island are the natural park "Garrafón" and the area called "Punta Sur" which are located in the far south.



Isla Mujeres has a hotel infrastructure facilities from one to five stars, this is the ideal place to rest, relax, enjoy lovely views with white sand beaches in a quiet atmosphere, you can do also diving, snorkeling, swimming, windsurfing, canoeing, archeology, ecology and cycling, these things are the reason the island is a great little Caribbean paradise.



BEACHES OF ISLA MUJERES



The coast of the island has beaches with calm waters that are spectacular even though they are rarely crowded.



North Beach: the most beautiful beach of Isla Mujeres with calm turquoise waters and white sand for swimming and sunbathing, three beachfront hotels and two of them offer beachfront dinner.



Beach paraiso and Beach "Lancheros" : This two adjacent beaches on the southwest coast of Isla Mujeres, are special to bathe and swim in crystal waters, plus you can buy souvenirs and eat in some good inexpensive restaurants.
